BACKBEAT CLAPPER FREE UPDATE: 4 new presets and new functions!
This update includes an instrument with velocity control for the samples, a straightforward simplified version of the instrument that I personally use as my metronome, and a super-funky ‘Flamenco Clappers’ instrument that is will be perfect for adding realistic 16th-notes claps to your beats.
Choose and combine 9 types of handclaps and finger snaps:
From solo claps recorded in a dry room to large groups recorded with a binaural stereo microphone set-up, these acoustic sounds offer maximum flexibility!
With the included mixer, it’s easy to layer and mix the sounds and create the perfect claps for your project.
Add extra layers of electronic samples
Add more bite or punch to the acoustic sounds with these extra layers. These samples were recorded on classic drum machines (Roland TR808, Linn Drum LM2) or created on a Prophet 6.
Easily fit the claps in your mix with the included effects
Use the convolution reverb with 19 custom IRs to add natural ambiance to the claps. The high-pass and low-pass filters help you reduce the frequency range and find the perfect place for the claps in your mix. Control the stereo width of the sound, from mono to extremely wide! Add punch, depth and impact to the claps with tasty saturation, an equaliser, a parallel compressor, and an output limiter.
Instantly add claps to your song with the included rhythms
Adding the perfect claps to your song has never been so easy! Simply draw a note in your DAW’s piano roll and you’re done!
BACKBEAT CLAPPER offers three essential rhythms: backbeats on C3, double-time on D3, and quarter notes on E3
Control the energy and sound with your Mod Wheel
The library includes five super handy presets that let you control the number of people clapping or snapping with your modulation wheel (CC1): this way, you can easily add extra human energy to an important part of a song! The presets cover many scenarios, letting you go from snaps to claps, or from a single clap to a full group of clappers: Very efficient and useful!
A wonderful metronome for your DAW!
Use BACKBEAT CLAPPER instead of (or combined with) your DAW’s default metronome: With such a lively, organic, and flexible sound, it’s the perfect metronome to boost your production sessions with extra motivation, inspiration, and vibe :)
No more static, uninspiring beat at the start of your music projects!
The perfect tool to practice with clicks on beats 2 and 4
Many musicians practice with a metronome set at half-time, counting the clicks as beats 2 and 4 only. It's a cool technique that really helps to develop a strong sense of time and improve feel, swing, and groove skills.
But with every regular metronome, you always get a static click or a sample, and after 5 minutes you just want to turn it off! Here, with BACKBEAT CLAPPER, it's exactly the opposite: with every click, it feels like you're getting lively human energy, and so it's very pleasant to use and it motivates you to practice with a metronome.
It's as if you had a group of friends cheering you up and playing with you: I love picking up an instrument and using BACKBEAT CLAPPER in Kontakt's stand-alone mode, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it too! It's really a tool that will make you a better musician if you use it on a regular basis.
For this specific use, you’ll find cool functions like an optional vocal guide on beat 1, or even a pretty tough 'random mutes' mode that will really challenge and improve your sense of time!
Special thanks to the group of clappers for the wonderful sounds and great vibe during the sampling sessions!
And a big thanks to the artist Jee Roc for the recordings used for the vocal guide samples.
